The Aldermont alumni association has 214,000 members in 96 countries. It exists for two practical purposes: to keep the careers service available to you for life, and to fund the bursaries that let the next intake come here at all.
Roughly one pound in every seven of student support at Aldermont University comes from graduates who were themselves supported.

I came for the machine-learning group and stayed for the seminars. Eighteen people in a room, and the professor knew by week two which arguments I found hard.
My supervisor read a forty-page draft over a weekend and came back with four pages of notes. That is the whole institution in one anecdote.
The collection is open to undergraduates. I have handled fifteenth-century manuscripts in my second year. Nowhere else offered that.
Every gift goes to student support. The association's running costs are met from the university's own budget, so nothing is deducted from what you give.
